K317 Clear Speech and Note-taking

This unit aims to provide the learner with:

• an understanding of some communication issues for deaf and deafblind people, and  
• strategies for using clear speech and for the production of good quality notes.

A portfolio of evidence is required for submission. This course is accredited by Signature.  Learners must achieve the learning outcomes outlined in the Signature Specifications.

You must meet the entry criteria for the course and:

- be aged 19 or above

- have a qualification in English at level 2 or above

- have a qualification in BSL at level 2 or above

The unit will be taught over four days on:

Monday 23rd September 2013   09:00 - 17:00

Tuesday 24th September 2013   09:00 - 17:00

Monday 7th October 2013   09:00 - 17:00

Tuesday 8th October 2013   09:00 - 17:00

The unit cost is £325 inclusive of all tuition, tutorials and Signature fees as well as lunch and refreshments during the four days.
